Out-of-State Apostille Services in Houston
A birth certificate, marriage certificate or other record issued outside Texas cannot receive a Texas apostille. It must follow the apostille requirements of the state that issued or notarized it. Our Houston team reviews the record and helps coordinate the correct state process.
Important: The Texas Secretary of State authenticates Texas public records and Texas-notarized documents only. Out-of-state records are routed to the appropriate issuing state.

How the Process Works
- Document review: We identify the issuing state, certification and destination country.
- Eligibility check: We confirm whether an original, certified copy or properly notarized record is required.
- Correct state routing: The request follows the apostille or authentication rules of the issuing state.
- Return: Completed documents may be picked up in Houston or returned using a secure shipping option.
Why the Destination Country Matters
Documents intended for a Hague Convention country generally receive an apostille. A non-Hague destination may require authentication and additional embassy or consular legalization. Tell us the final destination so we can identify the appropriate route.
